Attached for
your information and use is the ROCKS Civic Association’s survey
on local service providers collected from replies to the
questionnaire distributed earlier this spring to our members. The
information is presented in Microsoft Excel format. If you don't

The
information contained in the attached pages is intended to provide
you with the names of trades-people used by members of our
community. It is not an endorsement by the Association or
appraisal by skilled technicians in our community. It is, however,
the collective judgment of families living in the Rocks area, who
in responding to our questionnaire, evaluated service providers
based on the work in and around their homes and provided us with
their opinion of that work.
The attached
survey results list the names -- and phone numbers for information
purposes – of firms or tradesmen as provided by our respondents.
The evaluations on the following pages are set forth as they were
listed by our members. The number listed for “Overall Performance”
reflects the judgments of the respondent and is based on a scale
of 1 to 5 with “5” representing “excellent”
As a point of
information, when selecting trades-people to work in your home
remember that the City of Sanibel maintains a list of licensed
contractors who have been approved for work on the Island. We
recommend that you check that list with the City before hiring a
contractor. The list is maintained by the City’s Building
Department (phone # 472-4555).
We anticipate
maintaining the list of Local Service Providers and if subsequent
evaluations -- or updated ones -- are forwarded to the Association
we will include those evaluations in future surveys and distribute
the results to the Association’s membership.
If you have
comments or suggestions on how the survey can be of further
assistance to you and your family please let us hear from you –
either by
email or by writing and mailing your comments to our Post
Office box.

If you would like
to provide us with a list of vendors to post on our website, please
download the Microsoft Word document by

here insert your appraisals of any and all local providers
you have hired or contracted with to perform work in your home.
Please be candid with your appraisals -- otherwise the comments are
of little value to those in our community. If you would like to add
additional comments regarding the work of any provider please do so
in the area listed for “notes”. We are interested in your comments
but not your name unless you would also like to add that as a
personal reference. All appraisals will be complied based on the
data received and will be reported as the commentary of those who
have worked with or used identified providers. Please insert the
address or phone number, which will be used to avoid errors in
identifying who provided the service. When evaluating each Provider
please use the scale of 1 to 5 – with “5” representing excellent --
to appraise their work or enter Yes or No as appropriate
